Call for Associate Editor Nominations for IEEE Transactions on CAD

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design on Integrated Circuits and Systems is inviting nominations (including self-nominations) for Associate Editor (AEs) positions. While nominations in all areas of interest are invited, we are particularly interested in emerging areas of interest including microfluidics, machine learning for design automation and human factors in design. The appointments will be for a one-year term with possibility for renewals starting January 1, 2019.

An Associate Editor is a critical role for the journal and the community it represents. As an AE, you have visibility into the emerging research, practical advances as well as an important part of your own visibility to the broader community. As an AE, you are the subject matter expert in one of the sub-disciplines. As such you drive a prompt and fair review process for submitted content and seek to attract submissions that may represent growing technical trends.

Nominees should have a strong record of publications in top-tier design automation and system conferences and be willing to commit significant time and effort to ensure timely and high-quality reviews of the submitted papers. Experts from industry may cite product development expertise or commercial accomplishments in lieu of external publications and are also strongly encouraged to apply.

If interested, please send a short CV (< 3 pages), clearly identifying the sub-topics of your expertise and a one-page statement with your thoughts to improve the quality of IEEE TCAD, its responsiveness to community needs and your proposed role(s). These documents should be sent as a PDF file to the EIC Rajesh Gupta at [email protected] by November 1, 2018.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Rajesh Gupta at [email protected].
