CEDA offers annual conference travel awards for supporting three participants to attend the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference (WIE-ILC), which is held in San Jose, CA. The goal of this new award is to increase diversity in EDA and, in particular, help increase the number of women and minorities at leadership positions in academia and industry in the EDA field.
The awards tentatively will support: one mid-career (e.g., associate professor, senior researcher, etc.) and one early-career (e.g., researcher/engineer with <3 years experience, assistant professor, post-doc, etc.) women in EDA, and also a CEDA representative (who has worked as part of CEDA committees or chapters within the last two years) to attend the conference.
Applications are due by Feb 17th.
Interested applicants should submit a one-page resume and fill in the brief questionnaire here. CEDA expects to cover (partially or fully) the conference registration fees, accommodations, and travel to/from the conference.
Awardees are expected to provide a brief overview of their experiences and recommendations to the IEEE CEDA Executive Committee after attending the conference and also to help build a more diverse EDA community in the upcoming years. You can reach the Highlights from WIE ILC 2016 at the CEDA November 2016 Newsletter.
Award decisions will be announced on March 3rd.
