IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation Chapter of the Year Award

$1,000 and a certificate. Up to two awards may be given each year and each recipient receives full prize. In addition, up to $1,000 to attend the award ceremony at a CEDA-sponsored conference can be authorized by the CEDA President.

The application for this award shall include a description of the intended use of the monetary award to ensure that it complies with IEEE policies and restrictions on awards.

Funded by the annual IEEE CEDA operating budget.

Presented at a conference sponsored by the IEEE Council on Electronic Design Automation.

Criteria for chapter selection are noteworthy performance in one or more of the following categories:

• Initiation and operation of programs or services advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
• Demonstrated leadership of Council activities or collaboration with member Societies.
• Outstanding engagement of CEDA participants, outreach to other IEEE members and/or IEEE Student Members, or efforts to include IEEE affinity groups in chapter activities,
• Exceptional administrative and managerial accomplishments such as chapter website or social media presence, number of chapter meetings, events, etc., and timeliness of reports.
   

Must be an active IEEE CEDA Chapter in good standing which has provided significant contributions and outstanding service to its members during the past three years for the year when the award is presented. A chapter can receive the award once in any given three-year period.

An open call for applications to CEDA Chapters will be announced via email and posted on the Council’s website. The nomination form can be found on the Council’s website. Self-nominations are permitted. In case of multiple nominations of the same chapter, only the first submitted will be considered; withdrawal of a nomination can be requested either by the corresponding nominator or by the nominee, provided that this request is forwarded to the chair of the VP Activities before the expiration of the nomination’s submission deadline.
