Design Automation WebiNar (DAWN)

The Design Automation WebiNar (DAWN) series was launched to foster research exchange and keep the design automation community connected through focused online seminars. Unlike conventional webinars centered on a single keynote speaker, DAWN adopted a special-session format featuring multiple presentations on a shared topic delivered by leading experts in the field.

The initiative originally started during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many conferences and symposia in the design automation community were cancelled or postponed and opportunities for in-person interaction were limited. DAWN provided an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to stay connected, learn about recent advances, and exchange ideas during that challenging period. The Distinguished Lecturer program continues this activity and the CEDA Youtube channel is where webinars are available.

The presentations remain a valuable resource for the community. This page preserves access to the recorded seminars and related materials so that researchers, students, and practitioners can continue to benefit from the insights shared by the speakers.
