Biography

Binoy Ravindran is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Tech, where he leads the Systems Software Research Group, which conducts research on operating systems, run-times, middleware, compilers, distributed systems, concurrency, and real-time systems. He and his students have published more than 230 papers in these spaces. His group's papers have won the best paper award at 2013 ACM ASP-DAC, 2012 USENIX SYSTOR, and selected as one of The Most Influential Papers of 10 Years of ACM DATE (2008) conferences. He is an ACM Distinguished Scientist. He is a member of the IEEE.
