Cristina Silvano is Full Professor and Chair of the Research Area on Computer Science and Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. Since 2019, she is Vice-Chair of the PhD Board in Information Technology for CSE at Politecnico di Milano. Her research focuses on energy-efficient computer architectures and Electronic Design Automation. She received her PhD from the U. of Brescia in 1999. She has been Assistant Professor at the U. of Milano and Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano. She was Senior VLSI Designer at R&D Labs of Group Bull in Italy and Visiting Engineer at IBM in Austin. She was Project Coordinator of the European research projects ANTAREX (2015-2018), 2PARMA (2010-2013) and MULTICUBE (2008-2010). She is currently participating to three European research projects: Exscalate4COV, LIGATE and AI4DI. She has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers, five books and several patents. She is Associate Editor of the IEEE Trans. on Computers (TC) and the ACM Trans. on Architecture and Code Optimization (TACO).
