Fábio Passos received the Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from the
Universidad de Sevilla, Seville, Spain, in 2018, conducting research at the Instituto de
Microelectrónica de Sevilla (IMSE-CNM). He has undertaken research stays at several
leading academic and industrial institutions, including IMEC and Analog Devices, and
has held industry positions as an Analog Design Engineer at Renesas and SiliconGate.

He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico, University
of Lisbon, and Vice-Coordinator of the Nanoelectronic Circuits and Systems Group of
INESC-ID, Lisbon, Portugal. He was the recipient of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie
Individual Fellowship, several Best Paper Awards, and the Outstanding Dissertation
Award from the European Design and Automation Association (EDAA) in 2020.

He is the founder and current Chair of the Portuguese Chapter of IEEE CEDA, he
is an active member of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S)
Design Automation Technical Committee (TC-2) and the IEEE Circuits and Systems
Society (CAS) Power and Energy Circuits and Systems Technical Committee
(PECAS).

His current research interests include the design of advanced analog and RF
integrated circuits that support emerging applications from wearable devices to 6G.
Highly focused on developing AI-based design methodologies that enable circuit
automated design.
