Jiang Xu (S’02–M’07) received the Ph.D. degree from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA, in 2007.,From 2001 to 2002, he was with Bell Labs, Murray Hill, NJ, USA, as a Research Associate. He was a Research Associate with NEC Laboratories America, Princeton, NJ, USA, from 2003 to 2005. He was with Sandbridge Technologies, Tarrytown, NY, USA, a startup company, from 2005 to 2007, where he developed and implemented two generations of NoC-based ultralow-power multiprocessor systems-on-chip for mobile platforms. He is an Associate Professor with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, where he is the Founding Director of the Xilinx-HKUST Joint Lab and established the Big Data System Lab and Optical/Photonic Technology for Interconnected Computing System Lab. He has authored and co-authored over 100 book chapters and papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. His current research interests include big data system, heterogeneous computing, optical interconnection network, power delivery and management, MPSoC, low-power embedded system, and hardware/software codesign.,Dr. Xu currently serves as the Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Systems, and an Area Editor of Hardware and Architecture Design for ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems. He was an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer and an ACM Distinguished Speaker. He served on the steering committees, organizing committees, and technical program committees of many international conferences.
