Nuno Horta received his Licenciado, MSc, PhD, and Habilitation degrees from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon. He is a Full Professor and, since 2025, Chair of the ECE Department at IST, as well as a Senior Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações, where he leads the Integrated Circuits Group. He has supervised 100+ MSc and PhD theses and authored over 200 publications. A coordinator of several R&D projects, he served as General Chair for AACD, PRIME, and SMACD, and has delivered tutorials at IEEE ISCAS and CEC. His research focuses on applied computational intelligence for analog and mixed-signal IC design and automation.
