Biography

Sanghamitra Roy received the M.S. degree in computer engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA, in December 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA, in 2008. Her Ph.D. research was sponsored by Intel Strategic CAD Labs and the National Science Foundation.

She is currently an Associate Professor at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Utah State University, Logan, UT, USA. She has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals and conferences as well as a book chapter in VLSI Design Automation. Her current research interests include VLSI circuit design and optimization, and exploring reliability aware novel circuit styles and architectures.

Dr. Roy was a recipient of the Best Paper Award nominations at the IEEE Design Automation and Test in Europe (DATE), in 2011, the IEEE/ACM International Conference on Computer-Aided Design (ICCAD), in 2005, and the IEEE 23rd International Conference on VLSI Design (VLSI Design), in 2010, and the Best Paper Award at the 30th IEEE International Conference on Computer Design (ICCD), in 2012, and the NSF CAREER Award in 2013. She serves on the Editorial Board of the IEEE Design and Test Magazine and in the Technical Program Committees of DAC, ICCD, and ISQED.
