Biography

Xiaowei Li (SM'04) received the BEng and MEng degrees in computer science from the Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and the PhD degree in computer science from the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Beijing, China, in 1991. He was an associate professor with the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Peking University, Beijing, from 1991 to 2000. In 2000, he joined ICT, CAS, as a professor, where he is currently the deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Computer Architecture. He has co-authored more than 280 papers in journals and international conferences, and he holds 60 patents and 30 software copyrights. His current research interests include VLSI testing, design for testability, design verification, dependable computing, and wireless sensor networks. He has been the vice-chair of the IEEE Asia & Pacific Regional Test Technology Technical Council (TTTC) since 2004. He is currently vice-chair of IEEE TTTC. He was the chair of the Technical Committee on Fault Tolerant Computing, China Computer Federation (2008-2012), and Steering Committee chair of IEEE Asian Test Symposium (2011-2013). He was Steering Committee Chair of IEEE Workshop on RTL and High Level Testing (2007-2010). He services as associate editor of the Journal of Computer Science and Technology, the Journal of Low Power Electronics, JETTA and TCAD. He is a senior member of the IEEE.
