Dr. Yuichi Nakamura received his B.E. in Information Engineering in 1986 and his M.E. in Electrical Engineering in 1988 from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Information, Production and Systems at Waseda University in 2007.
He joined NEC Corporation in 1988, where he led research and development in electronic design automation (EDA), high-performance computing (HPC), embedded system design, and quantum technologies, serving as both General Manager and Vice President of NEC’s R&D organization.
He is currently a Senior Executive Professional at NEC Corporation, where he oversees semiconductor and quantum research strategy. He is also a board member of Japanese government quantum innovation meeting, a program officer of Japanese Quantum sensing project and several evaluation committee members of several Japanese government grant meetings.
Dr. Nakamura is also a Guest Professor at Kyushu University, Waseda University, and the University of Tokyo, and an Invited Professor at Osaka University. He has more than 35 years of professional experience in EDA and has authored over 25 journal articles and more than 40 international conference papers, including those presented at DAC, ICCAD, and ASP-DAC. He has also delivered numerous keynote talks at major international conferences.
