Umit Ogras is an IEEE fellow and Gene Amdahl Professor in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After receiving his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2007, he worked as a research scientist at Intel from 2008 to 2013 and as a faculty member at Arizona State University from 2013 to 2020. His research interests include chiplet-based 2.5D/3D platforms, heterogeneous multicore architectures, domain-specific systems, wearable computing, edge AI, and low-power VLSI. The recognitions Dr. Ogras received include the Intel 2021 Outstanding Researcher Award, the DARPA Director's Fellowship and Young Faculty Awards, and the NSF CAREER Award.
