The IEEE 6th World Forum on the Internet of Things (IoT) has gone virtual.

Thank you for your interest in the Virtual World Forum.  We appreciate your support. We would like to share all of the components of the Virtual Forum. We hope that you will join us on-line and take advantage of all the Forum has to offer.  We want to thank our sponsoring IEEE Societies and Councils, our collaborators from the IoT Community, and IEEE MCE for the support and assistance in re-planning WF-IoT 2020 because of the Covid-19 epidemic. We have the utmost concern for the welfare and safety of all involved.

As the premier event for the IEEE IoT Initiative, the conference consists of outstanding participants from the research community, the public sector and industry. The papers, presentations, and events at the conference focus on contributions to nurture, cultivate, enhance and accelerate the adoption of IoT technologies and applications for the benefit of society. In the past year, the Internet of Things has experienced significant growth in the number of deployments, in the resource investment from both industry and governments, and in attention from technologists in almost every discipline. The term IoT captures the vision of a connected world where things, people, and their institutions can interact purposefully to create better lives and sustainable stewardship of the planet.

The 2020 IEEE Virtual World Forum on Internet of Things (WF-IoT 2020) brings the latest from the research and academic community. It includes a broad program of papers and presentations on the latest technology developments and innovations in the many fields and disciplines that drive the utility and vitality of IoT solutions and applications. After extensive peer review, the best of the proposals were selected for the conference program.  This includes technical papers, tutorials, workshops, special sessions, and industry sessions designed specifically to advance technologies, end-to-end solutions, infrastructure and support systems, common processes, and operating methods. The program also contains strong involvement from the public sector and industry aimed at deepening the understanding, while providing the necessary dialog and actions needed to accelerate the adoption and deployment of IoT with an emphasis on vertical applications and cross-cutting topics. The focus of WF-IoT 2020 is “The Internet of Intelligent Things” and addresses how IoT can reshape the world and overcome the challenges we face, so that all individuals can participate in and enjoy life to the fullest.
